Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Poker Tournament

Join us for the 1st annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Poker Tournament. Every $5,000 ticket grants you entry to a high stakes charity poker game. The winner can take home a $50,000 Grand Prize with second and third place receiving $25,000 and $10,000 respectively.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month - a time when communities come together to raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Cancer Research Projects. is a local organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer clinical trials and research initiatives that give kids a Chance for Life. We are thankful to Scott Hoppe and the American Home Specialists team and the team at Union District Oyster Bar and Grill for hosting the first ever Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Poker Tournament.

Chance for Life was created in 2005 in honor of Kennedy Snyder, who was diagnosed with an aggressive spinal cord tumor at age 2. What began as a small get-together has become DC's best charity event experience - featuring a Texas Hold'Em style poker tournament, celebrity chef tasting, and Vegas-style after party. Chance for Life is proud to donate 100% of net proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research, without overhead costs and administrative fees.
